Minnow Films
Minnow Films Productions

Welcome

Minnow Films is an award-winning independent production company, renowned for its sensitive and intelligent portrayal of powerful human stories.

Our work focuses on producing bold and ground breaking films that sit at the very cutting edge of documentary making.

Founded in 2006 by filmmaker Morgan Matthews, Minnow quickly established a reputation for bringing a fresh take to challenging and moving stories, such as the BAFTA and RTS winning The Fallen, a film described by the BBC as their most ambitious single documentary film to date.

Minnow has gone on to garner both critical acclaim and award recognition, with films such as the BAFTA nominated Scenes from a Teenage Killing, and high profile Afghanistan series Fighting on the Frontline. Continuing to grow, Minnow works with all the major UK broadcasters to reach an ever wider audience across documentary-genres, whilst still maintaining a distinctive, emotive style.

Today, Minnow is working with some of the most established and reputable filmmakers in the industry, who continue the company¹s ethos of developing and producing thought-provoking documentaries of the highest quality.
